Noise, Broccoli and a Pig or a Horse (Meteliä, parsakaalia ja possu tai hevonen)

What would you take with you if you went far, far away, perhaps for ever?

"Noise, Broccoli and a Pig or a Horse" is a story about arriving in a foreign land, the strangeness of the new, as well as the surprising moments of joys related to it. The performance has been created together with children from Turku, part of them with immigrant background. Dirty Duckling has woven the ideas received from the children together with a massive amount of woolen yarn and recycled toys. The result is a flamboyantly soft performance for children which does not pull the wool over anyone’s eyes even when it comes to difficult topics.

”Performers believe strongly in their puppets and the world of the puppets. At times it feels the border between the puppets and their puppeteers disappears… ...The visual look is rich and colorful… …Borrowed from the kids, the irrational language juxtaposes funnily to visual look of the play… …Educational elements of the play are left more or less under the surface - as the freely associated ideas of kids skillfully staged by means of puppet theatre create experiential and absurdly surprising theatre experience for both adult and child spectators.”
